No matter where you look there’s always something about getting straightened out. Our culture and society hustle ideas, concepts, and solutions to bring you to the ultimate life you’ve dreamed of.
You probably think this is another hustle. Nope.
What if I told you that there is a solution to the following issues:
personal assessment
time management
organizing your life
learning your priorities
a personal spring cleaning
Would you be interested?
Would you give it a try?
You’re probably wondering what the catch is.
The only thing needed from you is a genuine commitment when you try.
This is a limited-time offer, so the sooner you start the more you will gain.
And this solution is totally FREE!
I speak from personal experience that this is the best solution to resolve life’s messiness. I’ve participated in this program for years and each year I grow stronger and more at peace in the frantic world.
I enjoy not being stressed by life’s annoyances. Every day difficulties have changed in perspective and no longer make me crazy (most of the time). I’ve found life balance finally.
This was worth the struggle and as a result, I discovered patience.
I came to understand what was important and what wasn’t. What mattered and what didn’t, especially about myself.
Each year I grow into the person I am truly meant to be.
This is a lifelong process, at least for me, because I am totally committed to this journey.
Wouldn’t you like to be this way?
To be at peace and know that you have the solution to handle whatever life throws at you?
Believe me, I wasn’t always glued together. I’ve struggled just like you until I really committed to this solution.
I’m not saying it’s going to be easy. Especially when you begin but if you’re really committed you will see change.
Are you ready to learn what this is all about?
This is a forty-day program. It’s already started but you can start anyway. As I said, it’s totally FREE.
There’s no special equipment or place to do this. You can work on the program wherever and whenever you can. Actually, the more the better.
It’s an easy three-part process but it’s highly personalized. It’s tailored to you alone. It’s how you do it that makes the difference.
You’re going to be taking a deep dive into yourself. A really deep dive!
If you’re not up for this challenge, quit here. No judgment.
You’re going to be looking at how you REALLY use your time, who you hang out with, and what makes you tick.
You’re going to learn all about yourself. Good, bad, and ugly.
This is the heart of the program.
This is how the solution works.
Now, onto what it’s called and what you need to do
This program is an ancient ritual about two thousand years old. It’s been passed down from generation to generation.
There’s a great deal of misinformation about how the ritual is performed, but I will provide resources for you to learn more at the end of this article.
There is sacrifice involved. Not the blood-letting type I assure you. It’s part of the cleansing process which is vital.
You will be expected to participate in this sacrifice if you want the results you seek. It’s your active participation that brings about the change.
This solution program is called Lent.
It begins on Ash Wednesday and ends at sundown on Holy Thursday.
It has been practiced since the early Christians began commemorating the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
It’s everything I told you as a solution to getting your life in balance and you along with it.
It’s a time of self-purification, where you look inward and clean house of your nasty bits. You adjust yourself to become a better person. The person you were meant to be.
Believers fast, pray, and give alms. They also abstain from meat.
Fasting:
Christians fast in many ways during Lent.
Lenten Sacrifice:
Many people think this is to “give up” something like chocolate or other food. Not necessarily. This can also mean fasting from your phone, the internet, pornography, excessive shopping, or other things that keep you from being a real person. The believer turns towards God instead of worldliness. Secular people can use this to reevaluate their lifestyle choices.
Are you a me, myself, and I person? Pride and ego need to be checked.
Do you chase after money, people, and praise?
Do you have an addiction?
Do you eat excessively? Take selfies all the time? Can’t walk past a mirror without preening?
Do you live in and on your phone all the time? Does it keep you from people, family, and friends?
For further things to check, read about the 7 deadly sins.
This is your personal assessment, time management, priorities, and personal spring cleaning.
Prayer:
Prayer is directing oneself toward the creator (God). It’s going into oneself and listening for the whisper of direction, giving thanks for being alive, and being provided for every second of your life (gratitude). Life is a precious gift that is perishable. It’s fleeting and can be taken away in a second. It’s not to be wasted.
Changing your ways (repentance) is one of the steps to becoming your real true self. By using all the tools of Lent you can reshape your life for the better. It’s a forty-day BootCamp. Looking at yourself, looking within yourself, and going outside of yourself is the process of renewal. Prayer is realizing you are loved, wanted, and have a purpose for being alive.
Before people understood “God” they prayed.
Almsgiving:
Giving of your time, talents, and treasure.
We are called as human beings to give of ourselves to others. To love our neighbor as ourselves. In the Christian life, we are called to see others as God sees us and love them (no matter what - Love the sinner, hate the sin) By giving alms we are helping others and giving of ourselves for the love of them.
Abstaining from meat:
Some Christians abstain from meat all forty days. Learn more about Friday fast.
I know this was not what you expected, but if you read this far, think about using this Lenten Season to renew and refresh your life. I hope you do because you deserve it.
